*Linger Longer Lounge: Saturday 9/6 is the latest in the monthly “Tongue Tied” theme parties hosted by Michele “Roya” Chinichian and Jay “Funkfinger” Wiggins at Linger Longer Lounge. You can count on corsages, crowns, and plenty of carefree dancing, culminating in a king and queen being selected. Naturally. The party starts at 9 p.m! Look for details on Linger Longer’s Facebook pageTongueTied

*Hotel Palomar: Check out the “100 Days of Summer” series wrap up at downtown’s swankiest hotel, on their Lustre Rooftop Garden. The party starts at 11a.m. both Saturday and Sunday, with specialty cocktails from the bar, live music, local DJs, giveaways. Hotel guests can attend for free (Staycation, anyone?) and the general public can purchase tickets for $10. Not bad for the chance to swim, dance, and soak up some rays! Lustre
